Huntington Beach State Park… Day 5

Friday 11/1/2013

Huntington Beach State Park

Murrells Inlet, SC

Today, Friday, 11/1, some of us went to see a movie including Jim & Dee, Paul & Marti, George & Laurie, Kris, Linda, Terri, and me.

That’s Linda sitting by herself in front.  She likes to put her feet up on the railing.  The movie was “Captain Phillips” starring Tom Hanks.

Tom Hanks’ performance was excellent, and everyone gave the movie high marks!  I have to say this movie was even better than “Gravity.”

After the movie ended, Terri and I made a run to Camping World to pick up some leveling blocks and a sewer hose attachment.  Then we headed back home to get ready for the evening potluck meal.

Soon everyone started to arrive for the potluck dinner.

There certainly was enough food!

There was also a nice assortment of desserts…

including this pineapple upside down cake!

Rain was threatening, but we were able to get our meal finished and spend a couple of hours around the campfire before it actually started to rain.

Another great day with great food and great friends!

    1. Wish I could take credit, but John Moyer was the chef of this creation. . . . and it was delicious!
