Huntington Beach State Park
Murrells Inlet, SC
Today was Day 4 for some of us. Of course for others it’s Day 3, 2, or 1 depending on their arrival date. We stayed in and did some computer stuff throughout the morning, and then about 1 PM we finally headed outside. I took a couple pictures of our site, #16.
Here are some of our friends’ sites.
Rick and Gail in site #17, and Gin and Syl in site #19.
Jim and Dee in site #18, and Laurie and George in site #20.
Terri and I walked down to George and Laurie’s site to chat with Laurie and Dee for a few minutes. Then we walked through the campground to a path leading to the Nature Center and Salt Marsh Boardwalk.
We chose to walk out on the boardwalk first
and were pleasantly surprised to see our friends Rick and Gail walking toward us.
They were out for their daily multi-mile walk. We chatted with them for a few minutes and then moved on. Marshes are quite interesting. You really have to just stop once in a while and listen and observe. The wind was blowing today so it was a bit difficult to hear the sounds of the marsh. We walked all the way to the end of the boardwalk. It was very scenic and peaceful out there.
We also toured the Nature Center. There were living creature displays including shrimp, fish, and a small alligator. After we finished touring the Nature Center, we retraced our steps back to the campground. We took the access path out to the beach along the Atlantic Ocean,
and then walked south on the beach.
Terri insisted on taking my picture.
We took another access path back to the campground. This view is looking back at the ocean,
and this view is heading toward the campground.
A little later in the afternoon Paul and Marti arrived.
Terri, Dee, Marti, Paul, Laurie, and George
Gary and Peggy arrived just before Paul and Marti, but unfortunately I forgot to take their picture.
Later, we all enjoyed
fires by Bill!
Another wonderful day with great friends!!!
Fun with friends! What could be better?

ReplyDeleteIt sure is great to be able to get together with you and the rest of the CC Gang. Times like these are what make RVing so special.
