8/7/11
Dawson, WV
Finally, six weeks after closing on our house, we've hit the road and begun our new lifestyle. We've had a few delays, dealt with them, and have now gotten the heck out of Virginia. A couple of the many things we recently took care of were selling our car...
scrubbing the roof of the RV,
and scrubbing,
and scrubbing,
and even more scrubbing,
and rinsing
and even more rinsing.
Terri and I washed the rest of the exterior also. All of this scrubbing, rinsing, and washing took two days and it was HOT, HOT, HOT.
These two weren't bothered by all of this hot, hard work at all.

So we finally got as much done as we were going to get done. Here's where we've been sitting for three and a half months. We were both ready to get out of there.
And so we were off to West Virginia for our first night out. After four hours of driving,
we arrived here. Summer Wind RV Park near Dawson, WV, is a quaint little spot just off I-64. It has grassy/gravel pull through sites and a wonderful view. This is the view out our door.
Another slightly different angle.
We love it here. So much, we're strongly considering extending our stay another night.
This is an interesting twilight, slightly out of focus shot of the sky and mountain across the road from here.
This place is just what we needed. We don't need a pool, or mini-golf, or other "amenities" that some of the "bigger and better" RV parks have to offer. Full hookups and a fantastic view... we have arrived!
